Wyoming is a great state to live in – there’s plenty of recreation, great people and a whole lot of wide, open space. Some of Wyoming’s towns are better than others, though. Here are 10 of the best places to live. These are listed alphabetically.
Buffalo’s 4,595 residents love living here. The high school graduate rate in this little town is 8% higher than average for Wyoming. The cost of living is low, and the little downtown is adorable.
The town of Casper has about 57,815 residents, who enjoy easy access to high-quality medical care, a great school system and plenty of parks and outdoor recreation.

The city of Cheyenne has a population of around 61,670 people. Livability.com notes its lower-than-average home price of $179,600 and its available support for veterans. Cheyenne is a community-oriented city and also hosts the Cheyenne Frontier Days Celebration.

Cody ties with Evanston and Buffalo on AreaVibes.com’s livability ranking with a score of 79. Approximately 9,500 people call Cody home, and they have plenty to be thankful for here. The home of Buffalo Bill has a low cost of living and low crime rate.
Evanston has 12,250 residents. This railroad town was founded in 1868. It’s the County Seat of Uinta County, and sits at an elevation of 6,780 feet, surrounded by mountains. You’ll find lots of outdoor recreation here, including hiking, camping, hunting and fishing.

31,601 people call Laramie home. It’s a town full of young people - most residents are between 10-24 years old, according to Livability.com.
Rock Springs is a smaller town with just 23,684 residents, but it’s within 3 hours of the much larger Salt Lake City, Utah. It’s also near Flaming Gorge Reservoir, which puts it on Livability.com’s list of Top 10 Awesome Water Cities. Rock Springs is a popular rodeo town.
